NEW VENUE BUT STILL A GREAT SOUND!
Ashington & District Male Voice Choir was at a different venue last night for their rehearsal at West Sleekburn Village Hall. Congratulations to all winning candidates in the General Election!
It might have been a different venue but the guys were 'really up for it' as they did the final preparations for their concerts at Beamish Museum on Saturday.
The Choir was being guided by Jonathan Scott, who will be conducting them on the day with Derek Brett on keyboard. There is a great repertoire planned for the day of coal mining, musical, popular, and traditional male voice and Tyneside songs.
This is definitely a programme for you to come along to Beamish and help the Choir celebrate the 40th Anniversary of those hard working coal miners from this region.
Did you spot the new baritone in the Choir for the evening? Yes, it was Neil Morton, musical director, joining in!
