A 'FELL 'EM DOON' TRIBUTE AT BEAMISH - CONCERT 2!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'A 'Fell 'Em Doon' Tribute at Beamish - Concert 2!'

The Choir performed two concerts in the Pit Hill Chapel at Beamish Museum in County Durham on Saturday, 6th July 2024.

The soundtrack contains two numbers from the 'Fell 'Em Doon' section of the second concert. 'Fell 'Em Doon' was written by Derek Hobbs and Mike Kirkup, and was first performed at the Ashington Festival in October 1994. The Tribute features 'The Colliers' Requiem' and 'Yard Seam, Bothal High'. This performance was very appropriate as it was the 40th Anniversary of the Miners' Strike. It was also fitting as it was a week before the Durham Miners' Gala when the Strike will be remembered.

The video takes you on a journey to the Village of Kumrovec in Croatia.
