Well, they enjoyed their summer break (one week) but the guys from Ashington & District Male Voice Choir were back last night at rehearsal!

They were pleased to be back to take part in their first of three 'Learn to Sing' summer sessions.

Thanks to first tenor, Andrew Mowat, the guys enjoyed an evening mixed with learning about musical terminology to some of their favourite songs. They included 'Stout Hearted Men', 'Calon Lan' and 'American Trilogy'.

After a well-earned tea break and catch-up, the guys enjoyed a great friendly singalong to some favourite Tyneside Folk Songs, thanks to Derek Brett, accompanist.

Next week, the Choir will be opening up their 'Learn to Sing' evening to the community in an 'Open Night for Singers'.
