THEY JUST LOVE A GREAT SING-A-LONG!

Thursday nights are so special for the guys from Ashington & District Male Voice Choir!

Last Thursday was no exception but also a bit unique! After they performed some of their standards of 'Every Time I Feel the Spirit', 'Morte Criste' and 'When the Saints Go Marching In' to backing tracks during their 'Learn to Sing' training session, then it was time for a quick cuppa and a non-stop sing-a-long!

Thanks to Revd Ian Hennebry from the bass section, the guys took part in an impromptu 50-minute sing-a-along over the last 80 years.

From 'Bring me Sunshine' to 'Over the Rainbow', 'Wandrin' Star' to 'Tulips from Amsterdam', 'We'll Meet Again' to 'A Nightingale sang in Berkeley Square' to 'The White Cliffs of Dover', 'Love Me Tender' to 'A Hard Day's Night', 'Moon River' to 'Maggie May', 'Too Young' to 'Sailing', 'Bright Eyes' to 'When I fall in love', 'There's a kind of hush' to 'Groovy Kind of Love'. And this was just a few but let's not forget 'Sweet Caroline'!

The #ashington guys love getting together, having fun but most importantly enjoy singing. Their concert programmes are varied but the above shows just how adaptable they can be!
