BRILLIANT VENUE AND WORTHY CAUSES!
It was an afternoon of warmth and friendship for the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea yesterday!
Ashington & District Male Voice Choir was delighted to hold the concert in the beautiful surroundings of St. Bartholomew's Church with the support of Susan Robertson. It may have been a blowy and stormy afternoon outside but the church was full and the audience enjoyed and appreciated a great programme of music.
The RNLI and St. Bartholomew's Church each received a cheque to the sum of £500 from the Choir's chairman, George Blanchflower. The RNLI was also able to raise an additional £273 from the raffle.
A really positive outcome to 'Remember Local Heroes'. Watch out for further posts with music from the concert!
