Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'The Colliers' Requiem at The Maritime Centre!'.

The Choir gave two performances at  the 'Celebrating Over 70 Years of Town Twinning' Event at The Maritime Centre in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Friday, 25th October 2024.  

The Choir dedicated 'The Colliers' Requiem' to the visitors and people from the City of Remscheid in Northwest Germany. The region will always be grateful for the support which the community of Remscheid gave both during and after the Miners' Strike. It was appropriate that this event took place on the 40th Anniversary of the Strike.
