Ashington & District Male Voice Choir performed 'If I Were A Rich Man at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea!' at the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday, 20th October 2024.

This popular song, which was written by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick for the musical, 'Fiddler on the Roof', was performed by the Choir as part of their opening set to the second half of the concert. The song was arranged for male voices by Stephen Duro.

The quality of the sound was affected by the howling wind outside, which was battering the coastline from Storm Ashley.
