It is 15 years this weekend since Ashington & District Male Voice Choir took part in a nostalgic event!

The Choir sang at the 'Unveiling Ceremony and Open Day' of 'The Ellington Colliery Memorial'. It is fitting to remember this event in the 40th Anniversary Year of the Miners Strike.

On the day, the Choir sang 'Yard Seam, Bothal High!', 'Take Me Home', 'Morning Has Broken' and 'The Colliers' Requiem'. Even today, these numbers are still favourites when they appear in the Choir's repertoires.
