Hot on the heels of their performance at the 'VE Day Concert' at Blyth Quayside Festival, Ashington & District Male Voice Choir will be keeping the celebrations going!

This time, the Choir will be supporting the National Big Sing being led by Chelsea Pensioner, Colin Thackery, at 9.30pm on Thursday evening. Colin will be leading the nationwide singing of 'I Vow To Thee My Country', followed by the National Anthem.

The National Association of Choirs has encouraged choirs to contribute. Your local choir in #ashington has responded and will performing the numbers in the main hall at Stakeford & Bomarsund Sports and Welfare Centre to coincide with the National Remembrance. The Choir will also perform a selection of World War  songs beforehand.

The event is being supported by Choppington Parish Council.

After their 'Annual Concert' at St. John's Church in North Seaton on Saturday, 17th May at 7.00pm, the Choir will round off their VE Celebrations with 'The 80 VEP Concert' at St. Nicholas Church in Cramlington Village on Saturday, 7th June, which is 'free for the community'!
