The Ashtones is a new small singing group within Ashington & District Male Voice Choir.

The group made their premiere tonight at Choppington Parish Council Annual Assembly.

They will keep some of the traditions of the main Choir repertoire going but will be introducing more popular numbers as they engage with local communities.

Tonight, the guys introduced 'Singing in the Rain', complete with umbrellas. And guess what after audience participation in 'Sweet Caroline', there was an encore and even more of the audience joined in!
