Eternal Father Strong to Save!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'Eternal Father Strong to Save!'. The Choir performed the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday, 20th October 2024. The soundtrack of this video is taken from the concert finale when the Choir led the congregation in the singing of the hymn, 'Eternal Father Strong to Save!'. The video takes you on a journey along the Snake River in the Grand Teton National Park in the USA. The quality of the sound was affected by the howling wind outside, which was battering the coastline from Storm Ashley.


Going Home to Troubled Water!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'Going Home to Troubled Water!'. The Choir performed the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday, 20th October 2024. The soundtrack of this video is taken from the Choir's second set of the second half of the concert. It includes 'Going Home', 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother', 'Tell My Father' and 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. The video takes you on a journey along the Bosphorus in the City of Istanbul in Turkiye. The quality of the sound was affected by the howling wind outside, which was battering the coastline from Storm Ashley.


Climb to Say Goodbye!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'Climb to Say Goodbye!'. The Choir performed the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday, 20th October 2024. The soundtrack of this video is taken from Susan Robertson's set of the second half of the concert. It includes 'Climb Every Mountain', 'My Hero', O Mio Babbino Caro' and 'Time To Say Goodbye'. The video takes you on a journey to the City of Salzburg in Austria. The quality of the sound was affected by the howling wind outside, which was battering the coastline from Storm Ashley.


Stout Hearted Men on the Dock of the Bay!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'Stout Hearted Men on the Dock of the Bay!'. The Choir performed the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday, 20th October 2024. The soundtrack of this video is taken from the Choir's first set of the second half of the concert. It includes 'Stout Hearted Men', 'If I Were A Rich Man', 'Calm is the Sea' and '(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay'. The video takes you on a journey from Tremezzo to Ballagio on Lake Como in Italy. The quality of the sound was affected by the howling wind outside, which was battering the coastline from Storm Ashley.


Dance to the Water of Tyne!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, Dance to the Water of Tyne!'.
The Choir performed the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday, 20th October 2024. The soundtrack of this video is taken from the Choir's second set of the first half of the concert. The Northumbrian folk songs include 'The Water of Tyne', 'The Keel Row', 'Dance to ye Daddy' and 'Bobby Shafto'. The video tells the story of the legacy of former choir member, Alan Thompson, R.I.P. The quality of the sound was affected by the howling wind outside, which was battering the coastline from Storm Ashley.


I Could Have Danced to Nessun Dorma!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'I Could Have Danced to Nessun Dorma!'. The Choir performed the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday, 20th October 2024.  The very talented, popular and local soloist, Susan Robertson was the guest supporting artist. The concert was a 'Charity Dedication' to former member, Alan Thompson R.I.P. and the crews past and present of the RNLI Newbiggin-by-the-Sea Lifeboat. The RNLI and the Church were each presented with cheques to the sum of £500 by the Choir. The RNLI also raised an additional £273 at the concert through a raffle. The soundtrack is taken from recordings from Susan Robertson's opening set of songs. They include 'I Could Have Danced All Night', 'Love Never Dies', 'Nessun Dorma' and 'Quando Me 'en Vo!'. The quality of the recording was affected by the weather outside as it was blowing a 'hoolie' - thanks to Storm Ashley. The video tells the story of the RNLI in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and Susan Robertson's family connections. The Choir thanks the RNLI and Susan for the background text which was taken from the concert programme.


Take Me Home to Yard Seam!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'Take Me Home to Yard Seam!'. The Choir performed the 'Remembering Local Heroes' Concert at St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday, 20th October 2024.  The very talented, popular and local soloist, Susan Robertson was the guest supporting artist. The concert was a 'Charity Dedication' to former member, Alan Thompson R.I.P. and the crews past and present of the RNLI Newbiggin-by-the-Sea Lifeboat. The quality of the recording was affected by the weather outside as it was blowing a 'hoolie' - thanks to Storm Ashley. The video tells the story of the RNLI in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. The Choir thanks the RNLI for the background text which was taken from the concert programme.
