'Celebrating Over 70 Years of Town Twinning' Videos

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir is producing a series of musical videos from performances at the 'Celebrating Over 70 Years of Town Twinning' Event at The Maritime Centre in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Friday, 25th October 2024, which will be published on Facebook and YouTube.

When the Saints Go to Gwahoddiad!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'When the Saints Go to Gwahoddiad!'. The Choir gave two performances at the 'Celebrating 70 Years of Town Twinning' Concert at The Maritime Centre in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Friday, 25th October 2024. With less than half the Choir available because of other commitments, they were still able to give rousing performances for the guests from the City of Remscheid in Northwest Germany. The soundtrack of this video is taken from the Choir's second set of the second performance. It includes 'Gwahoddiad', 'When the Saints Go Marching In' and an encore of 'The Colliers' Requiem' dedicated to the people of Remscheid. The video takes you on a journey to the City of Munich in Germany.

Calm to Fall in Love!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'Calm to Fall in Love!'. The Choir gave two performances at the 'Celebrating 70 Years of Town Twinning' Concert at The Maritime Centre in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Friday, 25th October 2024. With less than half the Choir available because of other commitments, they were still able to give rousing performances for the guests from the City of Remscheid in Northwest Germany. The soundtrack of this video is taken from the Choir's first set of the second performance. It includes 'Calm is the Sea', 'Tell My Father' and 'Can't Help Falling in Love!'. The video takes you on a journey to the City of Regensburg in Germany.

Take Me Home to Stout Hearted Men!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'Take Me Home to Stout Hearted Men!'. The Choir gave two performances at the 'Celebrating 70 Years of Town Twinning' Concert at The Maritime Centre in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Friday, 25th October 2024. With less than half the Choir available because of other commitments, they were still able to give rousing performances for the guests from the City of Remscheid in Northwest Germany. The soundtrack of this video is taken from the Choir's second set of the first performance. It includes 'The Keel Row', 'Take Me Home' and 'Stout Hearted Men!'. The video takes you on a journey to the City of Berlin in Germany.

The video takes you on a journey to the City of Dresden in Germany.

The Colliers' Requiem at The Maritime Centre!

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir welcome you to the musical video, 'The Colliers' Requiem at The Maritime Centre!'. The Choir gave two performances at the 'Celebrating Over 70 Years of Town Twinning' Event at The Maritime Centre in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Friday, 25th October 2024. The Choir dedicated 'The Colliers' Requiem' to the visitors and people from the City of Remscheid in Northwest Germany. The region will always be grateful for the support which the community of Remscheid gave both during and after the Miners' Strike. It was appropriate that this event took place on the 40th Anniversary of the Strike. Ashington & District Male Voice Choir would like to thank a the member of the audience for capturing and sharing this video.
