Ashington & District Male Voice Choir continued to hold its 'Annual Christmas Concert' at St. Cuthbert's Church in Bedlington on Saturday, 14th December 2024.
Thanks to support from West Bedlington Town Council, the Choir has been able to participate in an increased number of local events during the year to enhance community engagement. These events have also helped to raise the profile of the Choir and attract potential new members.
In addition, the Choir contributed to the Council's Spring 2025 Edition of 'Update', the community newsletter.
The Choir had hoped to have participated in an additional community concert. A review of the community events in Bedlington are summarised below:
Sunday, 10th November 2024 - Bedlington Remembrance Day Service
Members of Ashington & District Male Voice Choir supported Remembrance Day Services on Sunday, 10th November 2024.
They were at Ashington and Newbiggin-by-the-Sea at 10.45am and Bedlington at 2.15pm.
Saturday, 14th December 2024 - Annual Christmas Concert
Ashington & District Male Voice Choir held their 'Annual Christmas Concert' at St. Cuthbert's Church in Bedlington on Saturday, 14th December 2024 to a 'sell-out' audience.
The Choir presented a varied programme of popular and traditional Christmas music.
'The Flat Cap Cellist' was the supporting artist.
