1926 - A Year to Support Regional Heritage

Ashington & District Male Voice Choir has embarked on an exciting and prestigious project to promote the heritage of its hometown, 'Ashington', through music.

At the end of 2024, the Choir commissioned its musical director, Neil Morton, to create a new suite of music about 'Ashington'.

The new music will be launched at a 'Heritage Concert' at St. John's Church in North Seaton, Ashington on Saturday, 21st March 2026 at 7.00pm. This will be the start of a celebration of the Choir's 110-Year Anniversary, which will be followed by a series of regional heritage concerts across Southeast Northumberland and Tyneside during 2026.
